The title pretty much says it all. I doubt anyone actually still reads this anyways. Maybe I’ll start writing again when I have the time or the energy, but there probably wont be any posts for a little while. I have some pretty bad stuff going on in my life right now, so if you really care you can call or text me.

For some odd reason my brother thinks he’s cool. He learned how to do some weird dance that is apparently “what the awesome people do these days” and he learned some random gang signs. That, combined with the fact that he wears baggy pants and swears a lot, makes him think that he is the most gangsta kid in the world. You have NO IDEA how obnoxious it is when he randomly breaks out in his stupid dance in public and says “awwwwwwwww shiiiiiiiiiiiit” in that voice that could not possibly be more annoying. The swearing alone is ridiculous. I’m used to people swearing a lot, and I even admit that I do it too sometimes, but he is way over the line. He needs to learn that calling strangers motherfuckers and randomly yelling at people for being dicks isn’t funny, entertaining, or even the slightest bit appropriate. He texts people every second of every day, usually people he has never met but he hears is hot from his friends. He thinks he can skateboard and is always skating around like an idiot in the backyard. He has this huge, ugly earring that he thinks makes him look hot. He is obsessed with sex to the point where he even tells random girls he would fuck them, when in reality, nobody would even consider returning the favor. And finally, we have our mirror situation. He doesn’t have a mirror in his room, but he’s so obsessed with himself that he spends HOURS in the bathroom with his shirt off looking at his “muscles”. I put in the quotes because he has about as much muscle as I have body fat.

Last night, my brother was texting my friend Brian (who really isn’t my friend, I hate him but he thinks we’re friends). He was pretending to be this girl that Brian is in love with. When I found out he was doing this, I made him tell the truth, but Brian didn’t seem all that mad. I didn’t get home till kinda late and I ended up falling asleep at like 2 but I was planning to sleep in so it didn’t really matter. Anyway, at about 6 in the morning I was woken up by my phone ringing, and it was Brian. I didn’t pick up because I was really mad at him for waking me up, but then I saw that I had a bunch of texts from him saying that I am a whore and he is going to kill my brother in his sleep and stuff like that. So I texted him back because he had no right to call me a whore for something that I wasn’t even involved with and it’s not like my brother did anything that terrible. But he said that his house got tp’d and he thought my brother did it, which seriously pissed me off because Josh was just messing around, but it’s not like he would do something like that. So now he’s claiming that he didn’t call me that early. I’m mad at him.

Bedrooms

What would you do without your bedroom? You’d be sleeping in another room, obviously. But bedrooms serve many purposes other than a room for your bed. It is the one room where you can be alone if you want to, decorate it, and keep all your stuff there without anyone messing it up. Everyone who has their own room probably takes it for granted. What would you do if you had to share a room? I’ve talked to most of you about your relationships with your siblings, and I know you wouldn’t want to share a room with them. But what if you had to? What if you had to move to a tiny house and the only option was that you share a room? What would the room look like? How would handle the sleeping situation? Would one of you end up dead? As you can tell, I’ve been thinking a lot about this.

Assistant Drum Major and Oreos

Hello blog! It’s been a while!

I guess the most exciting thing in my life right now is that I’m trying out for assistant drum major. Basically what that means is that I would fill in for the drum major when he’s not there and then I would be drum major when I’m a senior. I’m really nervous because I want to win SO BAD but I’m running against Jessica so I’m pretty much screwed. I totally don’t stand a chance against her, but for some reason I keep thinking that I could possibly win. (On a somewhat unrelated note, Jessica showed me a picture of her prom dress that she sewed and it is so pretty!!!) The other candidates for assistant drum major are Robert and Connor. I don’t think Robert can win because he isn’t serious enough and he doesn’t have as much experience as the rest of us, and I’m pretty sure everyone would quit if Connor won, so basically it’s between me and Jessica.

In other news, I ate 7 chocolate covered oreos while I was waiting for the bus today, so I feel really bad right now. Not only did I eat too much in general, but I also crunched some numbers. Those 7 little cookies were 1050 calories and 8 1/2 carbs. I didn’t dare look at the grams of fat because I might have passed out from shock. But they were really yummy so it was worth it…

There is absolutely no way around it. I had a shitty day. First, I got woken up early by the garbage trucks. Then I was so bored that I watched tv for several hours. And then my mom put me in charge of making pasta for dinner, but since I was so bored, I decided to do it from scratch. I’ve done this before, and it turned out fine the other times, but this time since nobody would help me, and seeing as it is really a 2 person job, it turned out horrible. It was all clumpy (or as my dad called it, “clompous”…) Anyway, my mom made latkes so it was okay, but then I ate like 7 of them so I’m about to explode. And then as the icing on the horrible horrible cake, my parents just told us that my dad is moving out tomorrow. So everything pretty much sucks right now.

Christmas v. Hanukkah

It’s fun to be a Jew on Christmas… While the entire Christian populations is at home celebrating the birth of Jesus, us non-Christians get to chill. All the good movies come out, and all the good restaurants are open. The establishments run by the Christians, like stores and such are closed, but that’s okay because you still need time to recover from holiday shopping. So whenever people correct themselves after asking me if I’m excited for Christmas, I’m like “No it’s okay I’m freakishly excited for Christmas”. But Hanukkah is also fun. The main bright side of this oily holiday is that the food is AMAZING! Jewish houses are like fried food central during Hanukkah. The main foods are latkes and jelly doughnuts. And then there’s also gelt (chocolate coins) so people tend to get really fat during Hanukkah. Yesterday we got some gelt that looked like real money. It was pretty awesome. And then me and my dreidl, Gimely, totally won them all. Yes, I named my dreidl. I was playing against Alexis and her dreidl Winnie, and Josh and his dreidl Awesomey. It got pretty competitive, but me and Gimely pulled through and won. I ate a bunch of my winnings today and they were really yummy. Too bad Gimely can’t eat any…

No more braces! (part 2)

I got my braces off last Friday, and I just got my retainers today. They are horrible. I have a massive lisp and they taste NASTY even though I have washed them off like 5 times and put spray candy on them. I would almost rather have kept my braces. Well maybe not because at least I can take the retainers out when they’re really annoying and not having braces is AWESOME!

So I’m getting my braces off tomorrow and I’m pretty excited… There is going to be so much less stuff I have to deal with. No more food getting stuck, no more dents in my lips after band, no more going to the orthodontist every 6 weeks, no more worrying about what color I’m going to get… But as much as they suck I’m going to sort of miss having braces. I’m just so used to having metal in my mouth… But I know I’m going to enjoy having them off!
